Longing for the body of a movie star is many people’s desire, but getting that body requires effort. Every famous person will tell you that maintaining their desired weight does not come easy. Here are a few tips to help you sustain your weight at a level where you feel comfortable and good about yourself.
The initial weight loss begins as a short term goal just to get you started. Once you have achieved that goal, you can’t go back to your old ways. You have to commit to maintaining your weight for the rest of your life. Once you have made up in your mind that you are committed to keeping it off, you can do it.
Those who are able to conquer the mental aspect of a lifetime commitment will find success. Always being conscience of your lifetime goal and commitment at all times will help you be victorious in your endeavor.
The most important secret to keeping your weight off is to include a fitness regime into your daily routine. It is proven that you burn more calories when your heart rate reaches a certain level and this can only be accomplished by physical exercise. Celebrities hire personal trainers who help them with specific exercises to target areas of the body where they need toning. You may want to schedule a consultation with a personal trainer to get you started properly.
Although it may not be realistic to spend four hours a day exercising with a hired personal trainer like many celebrities, you have to set time each day to maintain the weight that you’ve lost. If you feel that you need to be held accountable to your daily routine, enlist a friend, family member or significant other to help you along the way. There are also apps for your phone and wristbands like Fitbit to help you track your exercise. The most important thing is to have a positive mental attitude about it. Think of it as something you really want to do, rather than something boring. Playing music while you exercise is helpful.
Sticking with a diet you enjoy that helps you lose weight is ideal. This will vary from person to person. Not everyone likes the same foods. After the weight is off, keeping a strict diet that provides you with adequate calories during the day where you do not feel hungry, will be ideal while maintaining your weight.
Being conscious of what you eat is the first place to begin. Curb your sugar cravings and consume fruits, vegetables and melon instead. Learning to make smoothies is one way to make it easy. You can drink your nutrition. Make sure that your diet includes not only fat-burning foods but those foods that provide your body with the proper nutrition. Seeing a nutritionist is one way to find out what nutrients you may be missing.
When you first begin your weight loss program, you’ll realize that you have some bad habits, and hopefully you can conquer them. Make small goals that are achievable. Work your way up slowly with your routine so you don’t slack off. Don’t try to do too much too soon. Meanwhile, work on kicking your bad habits. Think of yourself as a person with a different mindset now and concentrate on your goals. You do not need those habits that were more than likely the cause of your weight gain in the first place.
It may be tempting to resume the lifestyle you once lived, but hopefully you will start to like how you look and feel about yourself as the weight starts to shed. Stick to your lifetime commitment and live your dream!
