While conducting a major renovation of the U.K. House of Commons in London, workers exploring the premises found a wall panel that opens to display a small hidden room. At one end of the room is a bricked-up wall that experts have determined was once a passageway used in the 17th century to secretly enter buildings for bejeweled gatherings. The room was bricked up during restoration following damage caused during World War II.
