Go inside Washington’s second longest limestone cave and see the underworld beauty it holds. Also the way, you’ll see midden nests of brown bushy tail rats, crystals, flowstone, soda straws, cave popcorn, stalactites, stalagmites, and an 8-ton column that is actively growing. You’ll also see the thermometer that shows the cave is a constant 39 degrees Fahrenheit year-round. There is also a pic of the oldest graffiti in the cave from a local schoolteacher named Pearl who left her mark in 1916. Finally, and very intriguingly, you’ll see the phosphorescent glow of the calcite and how it absorbs and releases photons, creating momentary otherworldly designs. Enjoy! 😃
