Tonight, I attended a comedy show at the historic Cutter Theater in Metaline Falls, WA. The show was preceded by a benefit dinner which I also attended and included photos of the delicious food they served. (There was a lovely salad too, but I didn’t get a pic of it.) Phillip does a great family-friendly act, and was preceded by Ryan, another Pacific Northwest comic. One of Phillip’s best bits was about the fact that 1 in 5 people have herpes. He said after he and his wife Amanda had two kids, she wanted more, but he said no, because then there’d be a kid at kitchen table herpes, since they’d be the fifth person in the family. So they got a dog instead. Pretty sure she was herpes he said. It was an hysterical bit. He got great audience reactions. Ryan did too. He had a bit where he talked about his fat cat. He took him to the vet and was pretty sure the vet knew the cat was fat because it has horizontal stripes that accentuate the size of his figure. He said he also knows when he’s going to get paid in the next 2-3 days because that’s when he runs out of cat food and starts feeding him whatever is leftover. He’s not sure if an old bag of Doritos is good for his cat, but he’s going to find out. 😆 After the show, Phillip sold copies of his comedy album, which I also purchased, called Hillbilly Glamorous. See the slideshow for all the pics. The woman pictured works for the Cutter, and was tonight’s hostess.
