Whether you’re celebrating a wedding anniversary, success at your company or a birthday bash, live bands are the shizzle. They add an extra glam factor and make the party come alive with your guests grooving to the tunes. Getting a band is an obvious choice. The only puzzle is which one to choose.

There are different ways to think about live bands. The first way is to classify live bands based on whether they play original music or covers of famous songs. The second is the type of music suitable for your event, such as country music, rock, punk, jazz, heavy metal, acoustic folk or even a classic string quartet. The third way is by the kind of function it is, and whether this is a formal affair or a jeans and t-shirts kind of gathering.

There are professional live bands who perform solely for wedding receptions, for example. Others play soft music for conventions. Still others crank it to 11 and blow down the walls.

Some bands imitate great musical personalities like Michael Jackson or Elvis Presley, while some are tribute bands that put on a show based on groups like the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Van Halen or ZZ Top. Live bands like these perform the artist’s famous songs as well as mimic the clothing, hair styles, and mannerisms of these great personalities.

Make yourself an instant hit among your peers by hiring a musical impersonator for your office party. By letting them know in advance what the venue will be like, and what kind of volume is acceptable, the band can customize a show just for your crowd. Some even take requests from the audience, usually accompanied by a suitable tip.

If a theme party is on your mind, such as mariachi music, then dress up your venue in a Mexican theme and serve some delicious Mexican food.

After you have decided on the kind of live band you are hiring, make sure to get a signed contract with the band outlining each other’s requirements and suitable payment so that there are no misunderstandings. You’ll need to know if the band has their own stage gear or if you need to provide a P.A. system, lighting, extra power outlets, special parking for their vehicles, and whether they have roadies to help them with their equipment or if you need to hire day workers for that.

Once the day comes, get excited. Live bands make every event more fun. I hope you enjoyed this quick tour of hiring live musicians to play at your event. Please click like on the video and subscribe to the channel for more content like this. Thanks and see you again soon!
